At approximately 6:30 pm on Sunday 1 June 2014, Abdel Azeez Hatem Awad Nasrallah Qashlan, 10, sustained a bullet wound in his back and came out from his chest.
Doctors couldn’t help him and he died.
It’s worth mentioning that Qashlan was injured while he was playing with his two brothers in a piece of land adjacent to Wadi Gaza in northwest An-Nusairat refugee camp.
In his affidavit to Al Mezan, his father stated that his son Abdel Azeez has finished his semester and he was spending his time playing in a piece of land (theAbu Al Hasseen family land) north of the new camp, which is located near a military site that belongs to one of the Palestinian factions.
The children’s playing coincides with a graduation party in the training site near that land, and during the party there were some shooting and launching of missiles.
As a result of the shooting Abdel Azeez was injured and then died.
Police opened an investigation and arrested two.
