At approximately 6:00 am on Friday 13 September 2013, Rezeq Abed Rabbu Hasanein, 24, was found hanged at his house which is located in Hekr Al Jame’ in Deir Al Balah. In his affidavit to Al Mezan, his brother Shafeq stated that at 6:00 am on Friday 13 September 2013, he heard his sister-in-law screaming. He went upstairs to see what was going on and saw his brother hanged in a rope in the staircase. He carried his brother to Al Aqsa Hospital where doctors pronounced his death and referred his body to Shifa Hospital for forensic examination. Shafeq added that his brother had asked his wife to forgive him before he put an end to his life. Police stated that Rezeq had committed suicide
