At approximately 9:00 pm, Saturday 9 March 2012, Sh. A. was accidentally fatally shot in the head by one of her family members. The 14-year-old girl was admitted to Kamal Odwan hospital, and medical sources described her injury as serious, so she was transferred to As-Shifaa hospital for treatment. She later succumbed to her injuries on Thursday 14 March 2013. According to information obtained by Al Mezan, the girl was shot in the head as one of her family members was messing with a gun inside the house which is located in the Jabalyia Refugee Camp.
