Explosion in Jabaliya Injures Five Persons, Including Three Children

At approximately 9:15 am on Sunday 22 January 2012, an explosion took place in Haifa street in Jabaliya, North Gaza district.
  Five persons were injured as a result, including three children.
  Medical sources at Ash-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City described the injuries of four of the victims as light; one suffered moderate injuries.
  Al Mezan has identified the injured as follows:   ·         Ahmed Khalil Al Ankah, 56; ·         Fatma Khail Al Ankah, 55; ·         Yihya Ahmed Al Ankah, 13; ·         His brother Mustafa, 6; and ·         Akram Najeeb Kamal Zayed, 14.
  According to Al Mezan’s field investigations, the explosion took place as the family was attempting to start a fire in front of their house to keep warm during an electricity outage.
