On Monday, 1 September 2008, at approximately 7:00am, Israeli gunboats, positioned in mid-sea, launched an artillery shell towards two fishermen who were opposite to Beit Lahia shore to the north of al-Waha Resort.
The two fishermen had different injuries.
Medical resources in Kamal Adwan Hospital said Hussam Ramadan al-Sultan, 32, had serious injuries.
He had pieces of shrapnel in the head and was referred to al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City.
Mohammad Ani al-Sultan, 19, had pieces of shrapnel in different places of his body.
