At 1:30pm on Wednesday, 7 February 2018, Israeli forces located on the eastern borders of Khan Younis opened fire at tens of adults and children joining demonstrations to the east of Abasan Al Kabeera and Abasan Al Jadida areas of Khan Younis. The demonstrations were held in protest of the latest U.S. decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. Shooting continued sporadically for an hour. No casualties were reported.
