At approximately 3:00 pm on Friday, 30 September 2016, Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) opened fire and launched tear gas canisters at tens of Palestinian young men and children who were participating in a popular event to protest against Israeli violations in Jerusalem and the broader West Bank. As a result, seven protesters were injured, five of them sustained live bullet wounds. The shooting lasted until 6:30 pm on the same day.
