At approximately 2:00 PM on Friday, 25 March 2016, Israeli occupation forces (IOF) stationed in the vicinity of Erez crossing fired bullets and tear gas canisters at young men and children taking part in a protest against the Israeli violations in Jerusalem and the West Bank. Clashes between protesters and the IOF lasted until 6:30 PM. As a result, two protesters were wounded and were identified as follows: Hassan Mohammed Yousif Mansour, 21, sustained a bullet wound in his right leg; and Ziad Saed Mohammed Abu Nada, 28, sustained injury to the head after being hit by a tear gas canister. Medical sources at the Indonesian Hospital described their injuries as moderate. According to Al Mezan’s field investigations, Mansour, resident of Khan Younis, was visiting his relatives in North Gaza and he went to see the protest.
