IOF Opens Fire East Khan Younis, One Person Injured

At approximately 3:00 pm on Friday, 22 January 2016,Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) opened fire and launched tear gas canisters at tens of young men and children who were participating in a popular event to protest against Israeli violations in Jerusalem and the broader West Bank. The clashes between the Israeli occupation forces and the young men took place at Faraheen area in Abassan, eastern Khan Younis. As a result, Fareed Shawqi Abu Issaq, 29, sustained bullet wound in his hand. He was admitted to Gaza European Hospital where his injury was described as minor.
