6:30pm, on 21/5/2008, masked men armed with guns kidnapped 30-year-old Alaa Ad Deen Omran.
He was returning home to Al Sheikh Nasser neighborhood after his work.
Two of his friends were accompanying him in a private car.
When he passed close to Ma'an Cemetery on Salah Ad Deen Street in eastern Khan Younis, another car intercepted them and three armed, masked men got out of the car.
They forced Omran by gunpoint to exit the car and come with them.
They took him to Abu Daq'qa area, near the European Hospital in eastern Khan Younis, and threw him outside the car.
They forced him to lie on the ground and fired several bullets at the bottom of his left leg.
The armed men fled the scene and Omran was transported to European Gaza Hospital for treatment.
