At 18:00 on Friday 14 July 2017, caricaturist Ismail Al-Bozom, 31 years old and a resident of Al-Falluja, was detained by security forces in Jabalia refugee camp in North Gaza.
Field investigations indicate that Al-Bozom received a written summon order at 17:30 on the same day and he was told to turn himself in. No reasons were clarified in the order. When he went to the security forces station, he was detained, interrogated and mistreated over his drawings, which he shares on social media. He was released on the same day at 23:00.
