At approximately 3:00 pm on Friday, 12 August 2016, Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) opened fire at young men and children who were taking part in a popular event against Israeli violations in Jerusalem and border West Bank. Tens of young men and children gathered in the area close to border southeast Al Bureij refugee camp. The IOF opened fire at the protestors and injured Khalid Jaber, 32, who sustained a bullet wound in his left leg. He was admitted to Al Aqsa Hospital where his injury was described as moderate. The Israeli shooting continued until 7:00 pm on the same day.
