At approximately 2:30 pm on Friday, 29 April 2016, Israeli occupation forces (IOF) stationed at the border east of Al Bureij camp, opened fire and launched tear gas canisters at hundreds of Palestinian young men and children who were taking part in a protest against the Israeli violations in Jerusalem and the West Bank. As a result, one protester sustained a bullet wound in his right leg. Medical sources at Al Aqsa Hospital in Deir Al Balah described his injury as moderate. Clashes between the protesters and the Israeli soldiers lasted until 5:50 pm.
