At approximately 2:30 PM on Friday, 15 April 2016, Israeli occupation forces (IOF), stationed at the boarder east of Al Bureij camp, opened fire and launched tear gas canisters at tens of young men and children protesting against the Israeli violations in Jerusalem and the West Bank. As a result, one protester sustained a bullet wound in his abdomen, and was transported to Al Aqsa Hospital in Deir Al Balah. Medical sources described his injury as moderate. Clashes between the soldiers and protesters lasted until 6:30 PM.
