At approximately 18:30 on Tuesday, 22 November 2011, the Internal Security Apparatus detained Ziyad Ismail 'Awad, 37, a journalist at the Aswar Press Agency.
According to information available to Al Mezan, Apparatus members arrived at ‘Awad’s home in Al Maghazi refugee camp and confiscated some of his belongings.
In her affidavit to Al Mezan, Mrs.
Maysoun Ali Mustafa 'Awad, Mr ‘Awad’s wife, stated that at approximately 18:30 on Tuesday 22 November 2011, she heard knocking at the door.
When her husband opened the door, he found about 12 persons, some of them dressed in civilian clothes and the others dressed in black uniforms.
They entered the house, searched it and confiscated two computers, a laptop, two digital cameras, two mobile phones, CDs and some papers.
She stated that the search lasted for about one hour before they arrested her husband and left the house.
