At app. 2.15 am, on 1 June 2008, unknown men detonated en explosive device at the entrance of a cigarettes store, close to As Sousi mosque in Al Shati Refugee Camp. The store is owned by 55-year-old Ibrahim Saqer. The explosion caused material damages to the store. No information is available regarding the identity of the perpetrators or the motivations behind the incident.
