Short Link:
On Friday, 13/6/2008, at approximately 1:00am, police officers of the deposed government, six among whom were masked, stormed into homes owned by the Abu Hasna family.
Backed by six four-wheel-vehicles, officers entered amid intensive fire into the houses, located in Block 3 of Al Bureij refugee camp.
The police officers searched the houses in order to arrest two family members.
Although they failed to capture the main target of the operation, they arrested three sons of the family and two others from another family.
They were released one hour later.
It is noteworthy that the police first came to the homes at approximately 12:30am to submit the arrest warrants.
At that point, verbal altercations took place between the officers and some of the family members.
They left the area and returned thirty minutes later with back-up.
The operation lasted until 5:00am.
