Al Mezan is concerned about the escalating IOF aggression against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
On 20 September at approximately 12:35, an Israeli fighter jet fired a missile, targeting two Palestinians in Abu Safia area, in eastern Jabalia.
Omar Lafi Abu Jaras was killed, his body torn to pieces, while the other survived with reported injuries.
Earlier the same day at approximately 02:00, twelve military vehicles entered 500 meters into Al Nahda neighborhood, in eastern Rafah district.
The IOF, used loudspeakers to order Palestinians above the age of 13 to gather in Abu Sneima agricultural land, detaining some of them.
Soldiers also broke into houses, ordered women to leave.
The IOF have maintained control of the area and remain to do so at the time of issuing this release.
In addition, at approximately 09:30, three IOF tanks and one bulldozer penetrated the Erez industrial area.
No damages were reported.
On 20 September at approximately 01:10, IOF fighter jets shelled two houses rented by Jaradat family.
The houses, inhabited by eight residents, were entirely destroyed.
The IOF informed the Jaradat family of the imminent destruction of their houses just 30 minutes prior to the shelling.
In the same vein of aggressive acts, in a previous IOF incursion into Al Amal neighborhood of Beit Hanoun, four members of the same family were killed: Hanan Mohammed Abu Ouda, 16, (seven live bullets to the chest and abdomen) Azhar Mohammed Abu ouda, 17, (five live bullets to the chest and abdomen) Ismail Mohammed Abu Ouda Mohammed Ismail Abu Ouda.
Al Mezan strongly condemns the ongoing IOF offensive against Palestinian civilians in the OPT, and particularly the Gaza Strip, and stresses that the IOF are systematically committing crimes that are in grave violation of international humanitarian law, notably the 4th Geneva Convention relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War.
Al Mezan calls upon the international community to end its silence, which is encouraging Israel to continue committing further crimes, and to immediately intervene to provide international protection to Palestinian civilians and their property in the OPT.
