At approximately 11:30 pm on Tuesday, 20 September 2016, Israeli gunboats opened fire at Palestinian fishing boats which were in the Gaza sea off Al Waha area, west of Beit Lahiya in North Gaza district. According to Al Mezan’s field investigations, the IOF fired flare bombs in the sky while the shooting continued for few minutes. Fishermen as a result abandoned their work and left the area.
