On Wednesday, 29 March 2016, Al Mezan Center for Human Rights (Al Mezan) in collaboration with the Future Development Commission (FDC) concluded a training course for 30 male and female volunteers at the FDC’s Distinction Program under the titles “Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law” in University of Palestine.
Ms. Nuha Abu Zarifa, Al Mezan’s lawyer, concluded the course by thanking the participants and mentioned that the course is part of Al Mezan’s core program which aims to promote human rights and International Humanitarian Law among the youth. She also thanked the FDC for building the capacities of its university-graduate volunteers and for its ongoing collaboration with Al Mezna. She thanked the participants for their commitment and efforts to make the course a success, and hoped that they will use the newly acquired knowledge to promote human rights and demands their implementation from the competent authorities.
The training course consisted of 15 training hours delivered over the period of two days during which the participants were introduced to the International Human Rights Law, the International Humanitarian Law, and importance of elections and mechanism of election monitoring.
It’s worth noting that this training course is part of Al Mezan’s core program.
