On Thursday 12 September 2013, the Al Mezan Center for Human Rights incorporation with UNRWA concluded a series of training sessions on “Human Rights, International Humanitarian Law (IHL), and Protection Mechanisms”, held at Valencia restaurant in Gaza.
The training sessions are part of Al Mezan’s activities that aim to enhance and disseminate human rights culture and IHL.
Mrs.
Shirin Al Shobaki, Coordinator of the Training and Mass Communication Unit at Al Mezan, and Mr.
Ibrahim Weshah, Observer of Human Rights at UNRWA, concluded the course by thanking the 20 UNRWA participating teachers.
Mrs.
Shobaki also thanked UNRWA for its continuous and effective cooperation with Al Mezan.
Mr.
Weshah thanked Al Mezan for its ongoing support in building and developing the capacity of human rights teachers in human rights and IHL through conducting training activities.
He asked Al Mezan to continue its support to human rights teachers in order to disseminate and enhance human rights and IHL culture.
This activity is held as part of the 'Promotion of IHL and ESCR by Education in Gaza,’ project implemented by Al Mezan in cooperation from Diakonia.
