The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) have escalated their aerial attacks on the Gaza Strip in the past two days.
The IOF attacked the tunnels area south of the town of Rafah twice and struck three training sites for Palestinian resistance fighters in Gaza and North Gaza districts.

According to field investigations conducted by the Al Mezan Center for Human Rights, at approximately 1:20 am on Thursday 4 August 2011, an Israeli jet fired a missile at a training site for the Azzadin Al Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Hamas movement, located west of Al Maqusi Towers near Sami Al Alami High School, northwest of Gaza City.
As a result, a tin-roofed room was totally destroyed.
There was an electric generator as well as a water tank in the room.
The site, the school, and several adjacent houses and apartments sustained light damages.
No injuries were reported.
This was not the first time that Israeli aircraft have attacked the site.
In a separate attack, at approximately 1:20 am on Thursday 4 August 2011, an Israeli jet fired a missile at a training site for the Azzadin Al Qassam Brigades.

As a result, a lecture room at the site was completely destroyed, and the site in general sustained partial damages.
The Gaza Social Center for Professional Training, the 7-Upfactory, and several adjacent houses sustained light damages in the attack.

This is the second time that Israeli aircraft have attacked the site; it was previously hit during Operation Cast Lead.

At approximately 3:20 am on Wednesday 2 August 2011, Israeli helicopters fired two missiles at a training site for Palestinian resistance fighters located in Beit Lahiya in North Gaza district.
According to field investigations, the strike caused partial damage to the site but no injuries were reported.
The Al Mezan Center for Human Rights condemns the continuous Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip, which cause damage to civilian facilities including schools and houses.
Israel’s use of highly destructive weaponry against civilian objects has frequently harmed civilians and civilian property.
Al Mezan calls upon the international community to promptly intervene to provide the protection due to civilians and civilian objects; both protected by international law, against the almost daily Israeli attacks against them in the occupied Palestinian territories.
