Short Link:
The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) renewed their incursions into the Gaza Strip.
Troops carried out two incursions in the last two days in the areas east of Beit Hanoun.
As a result, one Palestinian was killed, one injured and three detained.
A girl also died from wounds she had sustained in a previous incursion into Jabalia Camp in 2004.
These events come at a time in which Israeli military officials are threatening to launch a wide-scale military attack against the Gaza Strip, which will seriously increase the violation of human rights there.
According to the Al Mezan's field investigations, at app.
12pm on 4 April 2007, an Israeli military force penetrated Al Qabatia area, 500 meters in the east of Beit Hanoun.
Troops opened fire killing Ramiz Al Zaanin, 22, and injuring the farmer Awad Saada, 45, and his son Mohammad, 20, who was shot in the leg and then detained.
It must be noted that Ramiz Al Zaanin was willfully murdered after already sustaining an injury in his leg.
Al Mezan took an affidavit from a person who was with him, in which he stated that Ramiz had been injured in his leg.
This individual reported that he had tried to help Al Zaanin before he was captured and beaten by the IOF.
The news about his death spread about an hour later.
At the hospital, it appeared that he had been shot twice in the head, which indicates that he was killed after being captured.
He was conscious and capable of speaking at the time of his arrest, the source said under oath.

Palestinian medical sources announced the death of a 17-year-old-girl, Tahrir Abu Al Jidyan, who was wounded during an IOF incursion in Jabalia camp on 4 October 2004.
Tahrir was in her house when she was wounded from a sniper's bullet to her head.
Al Mezan Center for Human Rights condemns the resumption of IOF incursions into the Gaza Strip and their use of excessive, unnecessary force that has caused fatalities, injuries and damage to civilians and property.
The Center is also highly concerned by the continued closure of Gaza as well as by the increasing Israeli threats of conducting major military operations in Gaza.
Previous experiences has shown that the reckless disrespect of international humanitarian law and human rights norms during such operations caused grave violations of human rights in Gaza.
Al Mezan reiterates its argument that the IOF's conduct constitutes grave and systematic violations of the provisions of IHL and IHRL, particularly the arbitrary, excessive use of force against civilian persons and objects, as well as its collective punishment and closures.
In particular, the Center strongly condemns the killing of Al Zaanin after the IOF had already captured him.
As such, Al Mezan calls upon the international community to end its inaction, which encourages the IOF to continue such conduct without adequate accountability.
The international community is called to fulfill its moral and legal obligations as to the protection of civilians under occupation in OPT as enshrined in international law and norms.
