At 11am on Sunday, 15 April 2018, Israeli forces located on the eastern borders in Malaka area in eastern Al Zaitoun neighborhood in eastern Gaza city opened fire and launched tear gas grenades at tens of Palestinians demonstrating near the separation fence. The demonstration was part of the “Great Return March”, called for by a national committee of Palestinian factions to demand Palestinian refugees’ right to return to their homes from which they were expelled in 1948 and 1967.
