At 10pm on Wednesday, 21 March 2018, Israeli forces took to detention Hasan Omar Shamia, 29-year old nurse working for Doctors Without Borders. A resident of Al Nasir area of Gaza city, Shamia went at 8:00am to Erez crossing for a security interview with Israeli intelligence. Requested by the latter, the interview was required to follow up on Shamia’s application for a permit to cross to Nablus, in the occupied West Bank; however, when he arrived at Erez, he was interrogated and then taken to detention at an unknown center.
