At 03:00 am on Saturday, 23 December 2017, the Indonesian Hospital announced the death of Sharif Al Abd Mohammed Shlash, 28, of wounds he sustained on Sunday, 17 December 2017.
Shlash was shot by a bullet in his abdomen while he was participating in demonstration in solidarity with Jerusalem near the eastern borders, east of Jabaliya in North Gaza governorate. These demonstrations are held in protest of US president’s decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.
