11 December 2017
Short Link:
At 14:30 on Monday, 11 December 2017, Israeli occupation forces based at Gaza’s eastern borders tear-gassed and fired at tens of Palestinians demonstrating for the fourth consecutive day in eastern Burij refugee camp to protest U.S. President’s announcement of Jerusalem as Israel’s capital. Protesters set on fire tires, and threw stones at the Israeli forces, which in response fired tear-gas bombs and used live ammunition against them. Three protesters were injured: Mohammed Nidal Abu Al Haj, 22-year old resident of Al Nusairat refugee camp, who was lightly injured in the right leg; Yaser Issa Nashwan, 30-year old resident of Al Nusairat, and Mohammed Wael Soboh, 18, who both were affected by tear gas inhalation. Ambulances from the Palestinian Red Crescent took the three injured persons to Shuhada Al Aqsa hospital to receive treatment while confrontations continued until the evening of the same day.
