At approximately 2:00 am on Tuesday, 9 May 2017, Israeli gunboats opened sporadic fire at Palestinian fishing boats which were in the Gaza sea west Al Waha area in Beit Lahiya, north Gaza district. The shooting continued until 7:00 am on the same day. No causalities or injuries were reported but fishermen were terrified and abandoned their work and sailed to land immediately.
