At approximately 11:00 am on Saturday, 11 February 2017, police investigation department in Gaza summoned five employees who are part of the Workers Representative Committee in Al Aqsa University to the headquarter in Arafat police station in Gaza city.
Al Mezan identified their names as follows:
The investigation department summoned them by phone calls that asked them to present themselves at Arafat police station without giving reasons. Al ‘Emour, Abu Znad, Abu Hatab and Omar, went to the police station at approximately 9:00 am on Sunday, 12 February 2017,where they were detained.
According to Dr. Al ‘Emour, the security members asked him to sign a document committing himself not to engage in any activities related to Al Aqsa University crisis, but he refused to sign it.
The police released the five employees at 2:30 pm on the same day.
