At approximately 4:45 pm on Saturday, 18 April 2015, Shanara Abdel Jawwad Abdel Ghani Hmeid, 78, sustained critical injuries as a cement column from her neighbor home fall over her asbestos-roof home. Shanara sustained injuries and bruises in different parts of her body and was referred to Al Shifa hospital in Gaza because of her critical condition.
According to Al Mezan’s field investigations, Shanara was injured when a cement column from her neighbor’s house collapsed over her house. Her neighbor’s house was totally damaged during the last Israeli aggression. Shanara’s neighbors were removing the rubble of their home when the column falls over her house.
