At approximately 1:00 pm on Friday 17 January 2014, Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) opened fire at a group of young Palestinian men who were trying to plant olive trees in their lands east of Al Sheja’iya neighborhood east of Nahal Oz crossing, east of Gaza city.
The Palestinian farmers are not allowed to enter this area as IOF trying to enforce “security buffer zone” there.
As a result, Majed Ismail Abu Salama, 25, sustained bullet wound in the right leg and Hammad Fawzi ‘Ashour, 20, sustained bullet injury in the right leg.
