At approximately 2:00 pm on Thursday 2 January 2014, Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) opened fire at Nehaz Jamal Sa’eed Abdel Dayem, 29, who was collecting plastic and scrap iron in the solid waste dump area near the separation fence north of Beit Hanoun in North Gaza district.

Medical sources described his injury as moderate.
It’s worth mentioning that Nehaz is a resident of Beit Hanoun and a number of his family were injured and killed in Israeli bombing during the Cast Lead Operation in 2009.
