One Palestinian was killed and sixteen persons including two police officers were injured during a police raid on a home of a wanted person in Beit Lahyia, north of Gaza City.
According to Al Mezan documentation, on Thursday June 6th 2013 at approximately 10:30 am, anti-narcotics police raided a house of a wanted person located in Al Manshyia area, Beit Lahyia, north of Gaza City.
Wissam Salim Ahmed Abu Sitta, 29, was killed from a shot in the back due to gunfire clashes between the police forces and the siblings of the wantedperson.
Eleven persons including three women were injured by shots and others, who sustained bruises, fractures and various light injuries, were admitted to Kamal Odwan Hospital.
Of the two police officers who were injured, one was shot and the other sustained bruises;they were admitted to Al Awda Hospital in Tal Al Za’tar, north of Gaza.
The police apprehended a number of citizens to Al Shiekh Zayid police station then withdrew from the area.
