Short Link:
On Thursday, 21 March 2013, and Friday, 22 March 2013, IOF positioned at Erez Crossing informed the Coordination Office at the Civil Affairs Authority 5/5 of its decision to open the Erez crossing only for internationals and medical and humanitarian cases.
The crossing was closed on Saturday – as regularly – due to the weekly holiday.
On Sunday, 24 march 2013, the crossing was opened again except for traders and businessmen.
Due to Jewish Pesach, the IOF completely closed the crossing on Monday and Tuesday 25-26 March 2013.
These closures greatly restrict Palestinians’ movement in and out of the Gaza Strip, particular patients and their escorts, traders and journalists, internationals and others who are coming through the crossing.
