At approximately 9:30 pm on Saturday 12 May 2012, armed men affiliated with one of the Palestinian factions arrived at the house of ex-detainee Mu’men Hassan Weshah, 38, to congratulate him on his release from Israeli prison.
The house is located in Block (7) of Al Bureij refugee camp.
A verbal dispute erupted between the ex-detainee and the armed men, which escalated until the latter opened fire into the air.
As a result, Abdullah Khalil Weshah, 17, sustained a bullet injury in the right hand.
Adjacent houses were also struck by bullets.
The police arrived at the scene of the incident and surrounded the house.
