At approximately 6:00 am on Wednesday 7 March 2012, six Israeli tanks accompanied by four armored bulldozers moved into the vicinity of Erez crossing.
The bulldozers began carving a dirt road about 450 meters long, parallel to the Salah Ad-Din highway about 500 meters to the west.
At approximately 7:00 am on the same day, Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) closed Erez crossing and prevented patients from traveling through it.
At approximately 9:30 am on the same day, the IOF withdrew from the area.
The IOF did not open fire and no casualties or injuries were reported.
