At approximately 9:30am on Tuesday 19 October 2010, the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) opened fire at Palestinian civilians who were collecting scrap and rubble from the destroyed structures near the Erez Crossing in the north of the Gaza Strip.
The shooting lasted for about ten minutes.
No casualties or injuries were reported but the workers were terrified and left the area.
