At app. 8:30pm on Thursday 28 January 2010, Wael Salim Al-Aqra'a died inside a smuggling tunnel in the town of Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip. According to police investigations, cement bags were dropped from the top of the tunnel’s mouth and hit his head while he was inside the tunnel. He was admitted at An-Najar Hospital in the town as a dead body. The victim was a resident of Deir Al Balah refugee camp in middle-Gaza district.
