On 16 February 2007, at app. 6am, medics reported the death of Khaled Ghoraib, 38, who died of his wounds following the attack on his brother's house (the late Colonel. Abu Almajd) by gunmen on 4 January 2007. Tension prevailed during the funeral ceremony, members of Ghoraib family torched the house of Dr. Yousef Al Shrafi, a Hamas affiliated PLC member, and another adjacent house owned by Zomlot family causing severe damages to both houses.
