On 14 March 2007, at app. 2am, a Ceramics store owned by Zakaria Hamad and located in Ahamad Al Qerman's house, was bombed. The blast caused massive damage to the store and seven adjacent houses. In response, members of Hamad family closed Khalil Wazir Main Street, in a protest against chaos and appealed to end violence and protect civilians. No available information on the incident and the identity of the attackers.
