Short Link:
On Wednesday, 23/7/2008, at approximately 10:45 am, the IOF, stationed on the northern separation border, opened fire toward 17-year-old Mohammed Abdel Aziz Hamdan, while he was working in collecting mineral solid waste, in northern Beit Hanoun.
As a result, the child was hit by a bullet in his right leg.
It is noteworthy that there is a large number of workers collecting waste, they are distinct with their cloths and appearance and they are accompanied with carets, so IOF can identify them easily.
Hence, this incident falls under the so-called deliberate targeting of children and civilians in the bordering areas.
It is also noteworthy that this incident is the third one that took place in northern Gaza from the starting of the Ceasefire, as IOF had injured a farmer in Beit Lahia and a fisherman off Jabaliya coast, and now it targets a worker in northern Beit Hanoun.
