At approximately 6:30pm on Monday 20 December 2010, family feud erupted in the Jabalia refugee camp.
As a result, Zuhair Ibrahim Hasan Al Ghandour, 40, was killed.
Al Ghandour was injured from a bullet in the nick.
He was admitted to Kamal Odwan Hospital and then referred to Shifa Hospital in Gaza City.
According to Al Mezan's field investigations, the police arrived at the scene of the incident and initiated an investigation into it.
The police arrested six persons for questioning.
Al Mezan Center for Human Rights strongly condemns the killing of Al Ghandour.
Al Mezan expresses its deep concern by the continued use of small arms in family feuds and calls on the Gaza Government to promptly initiate effective and transparent investigations in these incidents.
Those who prove to be involved in such crimes must be brought to justice without delay.
Al Mezan also reiterates its call to ensure that small arms are not used in family disputes or crimes, regardless of the political or factional affiliation of those who use them.
