At approximately 1:30am on Monday 22 November 2010, unknown persons detonated an explosive device in the house of Yousif Bahjat Ibrahim Abu Dan, 56.
The house is located in Block (12) in the Al Buriej refugee camp in Middle Gaza district.
As a result, the windowpanes of the house were smashed, causing injuries to the owner of the house in the right shoulder and to his son Ahmed, 22, in the legs.
The house was partially damaged and about 20 windows and five doors were damaged in the attack.
The house compromises of three stories and hosts nine residents; four of them are children.
Neighbors were terrified from the explosion.
The police arrived at the scene of the incident and initiated an investigation.
The Police Explosives Unit collected samples and the remaining of the explosive device.
Al Mezan Center for Human Rights strongly condemns the attack and calls on the Gaza Government to initiate serious investigation into the incident and to bring the perpetrators to justice promptly.
Al Mezan also calls for information about previous similar incidents to be disclosed by the police.
