Al Mezan Center for Human Rights has been granted official membership at the Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Network.
The center recently received a letter from the EMHRN confirming its membership.
The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Network (EMHRN) is a network comprised of more than 60 human rights organizations from over 20 countries in the Euro-Mediterranean region.
EMHRN aims promote the rule of law, human rights principles as expressed in the Barcelona Declaration and human rights education.
It also seeks to support the development of democratic institutions while strengthening civil society in the Euro-Mediterranean region.
Al Mezan welcomes the EMHRN's Executive Committee's decision to grant the Center membership and affirms its commitment to continuing its efforts to protect, promote and prevent human rights violation in the Occupied Palestinian Territories.
