At 10:40a.m. on Friday, 02 February 2018, Israeli naval forces opened fire at Palestinian fishermen sailing off Al Waha area in North Gaza governorate. The fishermen had to stop their work and they escaped the sea in fear. No casualties were reported. In another incident, at 5:00am on the same day, Israeli naval forces opened fire at boats sailing off Al Waha area and torn the fishing nets of fishermen who were only three nautical miles distant from the shore.
