At approximately 1:30 pm on Wednesday, 26 April 2017, internal security apparatus detained writer Abdullah Mohammed Anu Sharikh, 53, and youth activist Shukri Ahmed Abu Own, 27, residents of north Gaza district, at Jabaliya police station in North Gaza district.
According to Al Mezan’s available information, at approximately 1:00 pm on the same day, Abu Sharikh and Abu Own went to the apparatus office as they had received written summoned to present themselves at the apparatus office. When they arrived there the apparatus officers detained them on freedom of expression and opinion ground. The apparatus released Abu Own at approximately 4:30 pm on Thursday 27 April 2017 and released Abu Sharik at approximately 1:00 pm on Friday, 28 April 2017.
