At approximately 8:30 am on Thursday, 19 January 2017, an 18-year-old girl arrived at the Gaza European Hospital after she sustained a bullet wound in her chest. According to Al Mezan’s field investigations, the girl was injured due to mishandling of her brother’s weapon. She was inside their house in Abu Srour St. in Bani Suhaila when she was injured. She was admitted to the Gaza European Hospital, to the Operations’ Room. Her condition was described as moderate.
The police opened an investigation into the incident.
