At approximately 9:00 pm on Saturday, 22 October 2016, Tareq Ali Al Awawda, 48, sustained bullet wounds in his head and lower limbs, while he was walking in the street in Al Zawayda village. He was admitted to Al Aqsa Hospital in Deir Al Balah and he was pronounced dead on arrival to Shifa Hospital in Gaza City. The police opened an investigation into the incident, and looking for the suspected people is still ongoing. According to the police, the incident might be on the background of an old revenge.
