At approximately 4:00 pm on Friday, 15 July 2016, Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) opened fire at a popular event in solidarity with Jerusalem and the West Bank. Tens of young men and children gathered in the area close to border southeast Al Bureij refugee camp, near the school gate and Um Hasaneya hill. The IOF opened fire at the protestors and injured one of them. He was admitted to Al Aqsa Hospital where his injury was described as moderate. The Israeli shooting continued until 5:00 pm on the same day.
