At approximately 6:00 am on Monday, 2 May 2016, four Israeli military vehicles moved 50 meters from the separation fence, south of Soufa crossing, into Palestinian land north east of Al Shawka village in Rafah. The accompanying bulldozers built sand barriers to cover the excavations carried out by the Israeli military in the area. At the time of writing, Israeli forces were still present in the area.
